You know what I hate? BUGS!!
Looking at my Lc Fire Dance 'Patricia' today, the buds are breaking through the sheaths, so I spent some time moving things around ( very carefully). If possible, I like to move budding/blooming plants to the front of the greenhouse. ( I think I leave them upstairs this year, at least one of them) Both plants were totally free of bugs when I moved them inside last September. Well, looking them over, one was clean, the other had some nice scale infestation on the side towards the glass. grrrrrr Thumbs down So I spent the next hour cleaning up that plant. Looks fine now. Thanks to the Orchid Gods for that triple Bayer stuff!

Some more stuff blooming here -
The plant which I picked up for sure this time as Asctm miniatum at the SEPOS last Spring ( absolutely 100% ) may be neither miniatum or garayi. ( many Asctm sold as miniatum are actually garayi) Looking at the lip, it is definitely not recurved, which is supposed to be characteristic of miniatum. And it looks different from my garayis. Perhaps it is a var. of Asctm ampullaceum, maybe var aurantiacum....

And the Lc Irene Finney x from the Hoosier sale opened another very nice spike. Lc Miss Wonderful or not, I like the plant. The first spike is still hanging on.

Lc Love Knot coerulea is blooming again. The scent is very pretty!
