I am dollar poor but peony rich. But ebay or etsy - nope, probably not unless I somehow know of the sellers reputation.
Speaking of Mountain Flower Farm, I actually first visited their site last night. I was searching for peony vendors, trying to widen my net as it were, when they came up in my search. A bit later, I noticed that the Brecks paid advert in the search results had advertised a Kopper Kettle itoh for like $19 - so I took a peek and fell into their well planned trap.
Going back to the search for peony vendors... I was going to build a data sheet that listed cultivars and anyone that sold them. I wasn't going to drop in pricing info (since that changes quickly) nor was I going to include any of the big multi-plant vendors (Brecks, KvB, Michigan Bulb, Tulipworld, etc) since their lists would not be stable AND they show-up readily enough in standard google searches.

The 2-letter code will get used later in process, but I will list the cultivars and flag each vendor that is selling a particular peony. The goal is to find a seller - not to find the best price.
Anyhow, if anyone notices a vendor that deserves to be on the list, I surely would appreciate the link(s) in a tree mail.
Concerning Alsip Nursery... I keep finding really uncommon to rare peonies in their 'special order' list. I haven't called to determine if they ship, if the plants are only available potted, if the plants are available, etc. Perhaps someone has some experience with them and can share, but I wanted to take a second to explain why they were here in the first place.
