Enchanted April was hybridized on Long Island, where Dan lived before moving to Fl. I don't know AJ, so will look it up. Dan has a great eye. Love his eyed things that he has been releasing the last several years.

Another thing to watch for...

The state of the leaves (dormant, semi evergreen, and evergreen) have been found NOT to tell a plant's hardiness. That always troubled me. Sure seems like it should! Sticking tongue out

Ted White in Maine with his snow cover can grow many more Fl plants than can I. My land is bare many winters, like this and the freezing and thawing surely is not good for the plants.

Maybe we should start a thread for hardy evergreens!
