I had a friend from the US staying with us a few weeks ago and one day she asked me why I had so many chicken pots around. I was puzzled. Then I started looking around and I do have a lot of either chicken or dove pots. They are fairly common here and I guess I've acquired more than I realized. Here are some pictures.

This one I am trying to find out what the plant is, I think it could be Dieffenbachia wendlandii Schott. It's some kind of dieffenbachia but the leaves are solid green and I haven't noticed any striping on the petioles.

On the other side of our bedroom door is a regular Dieffenbachia seguina.

On an outside staircase is a Schefflera arboricola

This is my dove with an aloe tail. I need to pull some of the pups out again but it does look kind of cool with so many.

I think I have a couple more chicken pots in the garden room, I'll have to find some suitable "tails" for them.
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
