Beautiful and bright red flowers and I'm sure it will be as popular, if not more so, with the hummers, as the other Spires salvias. I'm hoping to get at least one when I place my spring order.

Kermit doesn't state in the link that it's ok for containers, but when you click onto Cultural Icons (above the description), it list it being a container plant, which is good, because I'm planning to pot mine up in a container.

Reading the description, this Spires salvia sounds like a winner and one that will become a mainstay in my garden every year.

I like the fact that it's listed as being hardy to zone 6. I hope it will survive the winter in the container. If not, then I'll get another one next spring.
