Sue will correct me if I'm wrong, but in such cases like that I believe we want it as both:

Clin d'oeil à Carole

as well as:

Clin d'oeil a Carole

This is possible because you can have multiple cultivar names associated with the same plant.

By doing it this way, when people search for a cultivar, they can use either the "foreign" characters or the English characters.
