If you're looking for big, Clifford's Forest Fire or Garden Party are two that I have that are beautiful all season. And, yes War Paint is very pretty for about 2 - 3 weeks and then just plain green. I just got Lakeside Paisley Print and Rare Breed last year, so I don't know much about them. Another pretty one is Darwin's Standard. Nothing seems to munch on any of these, and Darwin's Standard gets a lot of sun here.

I had a nursery tell me that slugs don't like pine needles, but the snails don't seem to mind them! I don't have a lot, but enough to make me mad Grumbling At least they're easier to squash than slugs.
When all is said and done, there’s more said than done.
