You can tell them that, while you retain all rights to your image, you will grant them permission to use your image as long as they provide credit to you and provide you with a printed copy of the magazine issue as evidence of their compliance.
Demand the credit is attributed this way:
"Image provided by Jonna So-and-so. Used with permission."
