My problem is that I'm approving lots of miscellaneous proposals of additional cultivar names for the Clematis database, but once I've approved a long list of additions, I don't have a record of what they were, and the person who submitted them does have that record in her personal messages, but she can't give cultivar names a thumbs-up because she isn't a moderator.

When the clematis and rose databases were moved over from Cubits, the system gave a thumbs-up to the top name on the list across the board, but any new plant entered in those databases needs a manual thumbs-up and I sometimes overlook that step in the approval process.

Also, although I might be mistaken, I think the system alphabetizes some of the lists of alternative cultivar names so that the preferred name is not necessarily at the top anymore. So a blanket thumbs-up for the top name would create some problems now, but it would be helpful if the system were to keep the first name entered as the preferred one when other names are added from now on.
