While I agree that it doesn't take that long, it can be overlooked, and I've already explained that the alphabetization that sometimes occurs would eliminate a periodic blanket thumbs-up to the top name as a true solution.

There are cases in which I've added a rose, listing all of the cultivar names with the main one at the top, and alphabetization then puts it at the bottom of the list, so the system uses it as the primary name and I have felt no need to reinforce that with a thumbs-up. If a blanket thumbs-up is now given to all of the top names, those entries would be incorrect.

I can't think of any case in which the latest name added should be assigned preference over the first name added, so it seems to be something requiring a programming solution.
