Is it possible you had 2 tabs open? One with the original post when you copied it and one with the second post where you pasted? You may have thought you were adding the edits to the second post when instead you edited the first.

I was editing the first post and the edits went somewhere. People commented on the edited post but where did they find it? The only way I can see it is to tap on a system message referencing that edited post number. It doesn't appear in the July 2020 Blooms thread.
