It is located in an area where the (small) rocks in the top soil absorb heat during the day and release it at night. It is therefore very heat stressed... Its root system is too small/young to absorb enough water fast enough and the leaves brown out. It probably wants lower temps, less sun, less heat, more water, more mulch...
