The system used to notify a user when their thread was moved, but believe it or not, that notification actually ended up causing even more confusion for many people. They sometimes had a lot of questions, such as "What did I do wrong to cause my thread to be moved" and stuff like that.
I disabled the notifications and instead tried to make it easier and more intuitive to find your own posts by simply clicking on the person icon (where a "Your Posts" option is prominently included in the dropdown) and also adding it to the person's profile. This mimicks similar behavior found on other social media websites and since making that change I think it has reduced the amount of confusion by the users.
