I'm so sorry to hear that. Both Chinese Evergreens and Christmas Cactus seem to be difficult for me to keep alive. I'd be devastated if I lost ones that I'd finally gotten to a good size.
I have found that coffee, tea, and rose can all agree on one thing... water everyday.
