Perhaps this little clip might clarify this misconception:
"Tropical plants are defined as all vegetation growing in a wide band around the equator between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. "

You might remember me from last year asking about it when it actually won 2. place in the Orchid and Tropical category. I complemented your very nice picture, although one look at it had told me that it surely has Passiflora incarnata/MayPop in its parentage, which is hardy to zone 5b.

In any case, and I mean it sincerely, it is a gorgeous and interesting plant and I don't blame you for entering it. However, I am amazed that nobody noticed the error!
