When I got some of my plants, I was up against the winter to get them in the ground, so I put them, temporarily just in the ground where I could tell them apart to spread them around later.
Here are the spring blooming 'Flower record' crocus.
At the bottom left are the still green crocus sativa.
Winter didn't really ever come here.
My buddleia didn't even go dormant, so I could dig it and move it.
In years past I've dug them and found scant root structure - but I didn't dare this year.

I wonder if the fall crocus will even bloom this coming fall...
