Laurie, I just looked that one up, it didn't have any stripes that I can remember, although some images show a very dark body, and also, it was very small, smaller than the images I found.
Could also be some type of fly, don't know.
I did find this cool North American bee chart, you can click on it to enlarge it, very cool! Had no idea there were that many.
