Thanks Doris, about my hibiscus I lost most of them but still have a few, I got 3 new seedling from a cross I made, have to wait a year befor I know what comes out as it takes about a year for them to grow enough so they can bloom, I'm cross pollinating what I have for now to see what I get but it will take a while befor I have a lot again. I've lost so many plant you wouldn't, lost around 50 types of amaryllis alone and like 1,000 seedling I had gotten from them and thats only the amaryllis, remember I had around 500 hibiscus seeding that were about to bloom, lost them too, and a whole lot of other plants I had all gone due to all types of things like too much rain, insects, dogs, and others things, but thats ok, gives me a chance to start all over again,
I'm already looking around to see what other people have in there gardens to see what cutting I can get from them, thats how I started my collection in the first place. only problem I have for the moment is getting the potting mix I use, just have to wait and find a way to get it, well just have to see what happens day by day.
JT, I saw the one you did on the CD, I liked it, very original of you doing it that way, it sure looks out of the ordinary, I imagen that you will need a LP as it keeps growing so that the bottom stays flat untill it gets to the size you want it to be. After that you can try and find a acrylic cilinder with a lid and tie the roots around it and place the cylider in a 5 gallon paint bucket so the roots develope downward, as the root develope you just keep raising the cylider until the bottom of the coudex is expossed, then you can remove the cylinder, bet people would be asking how the heck did the bottem of the coudex end up being so flat,
well have to go for now, got to go to bed so i can wake up at 5:00am to pick up my boy to take him to school tomarrow.
