When I had about a dozen small Plumeria plants I would un-pot them and wrap them in newspaper for storing over winter but the one in the above photo has remained in the container for the past four years and has always done well and is usually leafed out by now. I always left it out on the pool deck where it would lose all of it's leaves in winter and I'd cover it with old blankets when we had a frost or freeze. I gave my next door neighbor a bunch of @ 4' Plumeria's about a year ago and they leave them potted up against the southwest side of the house all year round ... theirs have nice full leaf growth already. I just didn't want the hassle of planting this one in the ground and having it get really huge and then have to dig it up each winter. I might just have to plant it in the yard and dig it up to store it if we have any severe cold this coming winter! I think I've found a place I'd like to plant it, on the SE side of the house.
