Mary - if you do any LA crosses make sure to read up on when to harvest the seeds. Unlike bearded iris seeds you don't let the pod and seeds dry out but collect the pod right before it splits. Each seed in the pod will be inside a corky casing. No refrigerator chilling period required. Just soak and plant. Some people say to cut the seeds out of the corky cover, some say just pop in the pot. I grew mine without removing the cork. So far I have only gotten some bee crosses but my first LA seedling has bloomed this year (Silver Dollar Smoke x Unk).

Some Burseens do better than others for me, but they all are happy if the soil isn't too rich. Blyth medians do really well for me in NC so they should be happy in TN.

Nice pic of Asian Plum Thumbs up
