Thank you for the welcome and reply, valleylynn.
I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. my plants are by the window facing south-east, sunshine on the plants from early morning until almost noon. But it is true that we have blackout curtain, won't open until 8:30am so it get less sunlight than winter. I now move it to a window that has no curtain, don't have a safe place for it to move outside yet.
This is my first sempervivum, it really is special. My other succulents are doing well in the exact same setting.
