Thanks! ive deflasked about 3 paph flasks, 1 cymbidium one and this Zygo one and do have a few of each left. hehe! I didn't have the right set up when i did most though and about half ended up gradually dying, scale didnt help with the outside ones either.. Im still babying a tray of paph seedlings inside and in my greenhouse i have a tray of half cymbids and half zygos. Easy to deflask but just make sure the plants are neally to the top of the flask and decent sized. I got some of mine real small and was to keen to deflask (didn't think i could keep them alive in the flask) but ended up having to baby them to much.
It may be a while till the Cymbids and Paphs flower though. Whistling
I keep my paphs too dry, not enough air movement and in too much light according to most paph growers. I don't know why yours won't flower Kathy, our temp.s must be different thats all i can say because its neally the only thing i can get to flower, you should be able to you'd think. I only grow them in under 70% green shadecloth (but there not burning or lightening at all.) With no fan or vents (we do live near a river so there a breeze alot) and i only get around to watering them about once a week(it does rain though) i try to water the seedling paphs abit more but when i water everythings dry. Its usually pretty humid here and we hardly get a frost. All my orchids stay outside in winter.
