So true Rita...the late Melba Hamblen who was a well known and respected Utah Hybridizer used to say that if she got a true red iris with one bud she would introduce it. Hilarious! I like branching and buds.....more buds mean a lomger bloom season. I also like them to be wide, ruffled, good substance and an intriguing color. I'm going to take a few more pictures of newly opened ones this evening when the light is more subdued and will number them and give the breeding.. My best pinks so far have been Guardian Angel X Glamor Pants.....a different shade of pink.
