Thanks Hetty, I feel that way too.
He remembers his grandfather, though he was not quite three when he died suddenly. But in the aftermath of that death, Ethan seemed to think I 'needed' him. From that summer he came here and stayed in long blocks of time with the idea that I needed him so I wouldn't be alone. So I don't know if he adapted to things I like to do because of that, or if it's the strength of genetics, but we are very much alike.
He's very sports oriented too, good at baseball, basketball and soccer. I'm not, though he knows I like to watch him at play. So it is what it is and he still comes here because 'I need him' even though he's nearly as big as I am now. He's a lot of fun, teases a lot, I just hope it continues. And if it doesn't, then I might just have to remind him that 'I need him.'
I think he'll get it.
