JIm, I have an Allagoptera arenaria that I've had in a pot by the pool for about 3 years. I had it in shade on the terrace before that but it has really taken off since I put it out in about half day sun. It's a great palm and I haven't seen another one since I got this one. I love how it trails and spirals.
