That looks like a peduncle to me, Jelinda. If the plant is producing it, it means it wants to bloom. I wouldn't change anything you are doing. Are you giving it a fertilizer now? Hoyas produce peduncles from the top of the axils (where the leaf stem meets the vine) and roots from below (or along the stem).

'Getting' hoyas to bloom is a big subject...with a short answer. The plants know when they want to bloom and while there are ways to HELP them (by fertilizing with a bloom type fert) nothing is proven. Hoyas have their patterns (some are spring bloomers, year round, fall etc.). If the plant has what it needs to bloom, eventually it will bloom. There are ways to force blooming used by nurseries...but I haven't a clue and really don't want to know. DynaBloom is a good fertilizer...I use 1/4 or 1/2 strength everytime I water.

Most hoyas produce a peduncle and then a rachis to bloom and keep that peduncle from which it always blooms. A few hoyas drop their peduncles and produce new ones when it wants to bloom....

Enjoy!!!!
It's all about choices.
