This morning while dragging hoses, I noticed that my mystery plant does indeed get pods that look like pea pods. They are smooth rather then hairy. I opened one that wasn't ripe (still green) about 1/2 inch long...it contained 2 "peas" that looked to be speckled.
Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.
