I transplant the larkspur all the time , the smaller the better. They do not reach the heights they do if left undisturbed. Usually about 2/3 the height of the undisturbed ones

This is from last week , they are blooming this week

I have never tried to transplant them while blooming
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.
