Dogwoods in bloom are a welcome sight anytime. I'm glad you commented on the unusual conformation of the blooms. It was something I noticed, and it's a good reminder to us all that plants are individuals, and they respond to their growing conditions, some more so than others. If you're a photographer, and compare the photos of same plant from one year to the next, you become keenly aware of this.
