Thanks so much bsharf for your quick and helpful reply! I see what you are saying about the marks forming a straight line across multiple leaves. I'm glad to know that it's not likely something that will threaten my bulb. I'm a bit of a newby with Amaryllis -- I might be overprotective . Last year was my first bulb.

I have some pictures of the flowers on the first stalk of this year's bulb (Spotlight), so I'll post those here.
