Thanks Rizzo for your comments on my seedling.

Many peonies produce seed of both herbaceous and tree peony types. Some do not as Val mentioned. Solaris Farms is really great on pointing out if a peony is fertile one way or another, which is nice.

I find many single peonies are prone to closing up in the evening. I like evening or early morning lighting for photographing peonies and I realize evening photos for singles seldom work due to the closing up feature.
