Hello

Help wanted for lily beetle study

Hope that you have a good gardening season, I was wondering if you have
the lily beetle in your garden?

Institute of Plant Biology Research
Université de Montréal, 4101 Sherbrooke Est
Montréal, Qc, Canada, H1X 2B2

are doing a study (here is part of the text)

To determine the spatial and temporal trajectories of L. lilii America, we want to reap the maximum of specimens to obtain DNA profiles of different populations of the beetle in the invaded area. In doing so, we could then assess the population genetic structure of the Lily Leaf Beetle in America and then determine the number of invasions that took place and possibly the origin of or population (s) invasive (s).

if you have the beetle and have interest in the project
Please contact Alessandro Dieni, Master’s student

[email protected]

He can send all things needed for the collect and a Simple Guide for preserving lily leaf beetle tissue for DNA work

thanks for your help
