I suspect over-watering too. I've over-watered other plants and flowers in the past. Not sure about the light or air movement, though. Our home actually has pretty good airflow and the philodendron (based upon information from other sites) doesn't require a lot of bright light...but you could be right. I'm going to back off the watering a bit and plan to prune the sick leaves in case it IS bacteria. I'm also trying to find a good NPK 3:1:2 fertilizer to help it out during this growth period.
