Hard to say but I think a Hedera helix- common ivy - in one of many pretty variegated fancy leaf styles.
The dead-ness of the plant is a diagnostic clue to houseplant Hedera helix, in my experience Hilarious!
It might recover but they do not seem to tolerate most in-house situations.
Plant it and they will come.
