I just got these lily bulbs that I want to try growing in containers (I live in an apartment). The bulbs look quite healthy and not too dried out, and the flower tips have started on them.

I was looking online for info but there is some conflict about soil type. One website says do part sand so the soil doesn't stay moist, and another says use compost and keep it watered well. My balcony also gets afternoon sun because it faces west.

Has anyone had success growing lilies in containers and have any tips? Smiling This is my first time trying this particular type of flower in a container. My mom used to grow tiger lilies in her yard and they grew like weeds, lol.

I am also wondering how many bulbs I can plant together. The biggest pot I have is about 14 inches right now.
