My first year stems of Lilium lancifolium 'Splendens' (the common orange tiger lily) are covered with bulbils, some already approaching pea-size.

These plants are growing in my front parking strip which gets a lot of foot traffic. Some horrid individual snapped off all of the buds from one of the stems and now its bulblets are getting HUGE, much larger than the stems which still have developing buds intact.
