Well, They certainly don't make our life any easier do they! I'd make sure the lilies are feed good with something like Espoma Bulb-Tone 4-10-6 which is fortified with the essential micro minerals that promote good bulb stamina. Make sure there's adequate moisture without over watering. And mulch deeply 2--3 inches to keep the soil temperature pretty constant and cool. If it were me, I'd put a circle of chicken wire around these also, because rabbits have good memories and will favor these--the bark will be next. There's still plenty of leaves to build a good bulb for next year, but if these are your ultra-favorites, remove the buds from a couple plants for even better performance next year.

Now, Evan, I know you know all of what I just said here, But I wanted to put it out there like this for new readers who visit this site who might still be learning about lilies
