Not for me, Vickie. I specifically spent more money to purchase "blooming size", versus their smaller much cheaper "growing size".

I am very much expecting a 2022 bloom and it better perform. I do not mind if the scapes are short, flowers look ugly, or whatever. As long as I get some pollen out of it.

But I have faith in the magic of daylilies Crossing Fingers! . The company should know what they are doing by now (when I said pencil-thin I was being literal, not metaphorical; 2 scapes the thickness of an actual pencil, and 2 scapes the thickness of a Q-tip). They know their plants best, and what they can do. I am over my initial shock now, and am much more zen.

All I can do is water, feed, give it some sun, and send positive vibes to the plant for my part of the deal (plus the usual squirrel barrier all new plants get).
Gardening: So exciting I wet my plants!
