Rick, I assumed the lily bulbs are quickly dispatched because the scales are modified leaves. I wish it would work as well on my very unwanted Arum Italicum, Ornithogalum and similar spring ephemeral plants. They really suck up my garden space but I keep working at it. One day these will be gone, one way or another.
