I don't know about the scent, Chelle. I never tried to smell it. Next time it blooms, I'll find out.

My Mardi Gras fades out to those colors too, Toni, but this one starts out that way. This one has about half as many petals as Mardi Gras and is a much shorter rose bush. Mardi Gras is now about 6 feet tall.

As for the company. who knows? This was probably two years ago and it was when Home Depot had a good variety of patented and non-patented bare-root roses in body bags at various prices (they don't anymore, at least not here). I'm sure this was one of the lower-priced ones: I bought it strictly because I didn't already have the rose and not because I really wanted the rose.
