The "study" isn't cited, and the synopsis given is really poor and without key vetting information. There is no way to know if it's claim is valid. For instance, the "test" cuts results (whatever they would be) would most certainly be inconclusive if it was done out in the open on a cloudy, moist or humid day, or anywhere near an infected material (say 300ft).

I would have expected more from a Master Gardener newsletter. There are two kinds of master gardeners:

1) The good ones who learn, and learn that there is a lot more to learn.

2) The bad ones who learn, and then think they know everything.
