I'm one of those who like to know its name so for visible label I use prong fastener base and Sharpie Pro (found at Staples). A box of 100 prong fastener bases is $4 and Sharpie Pro (marks through wet and oily surfaces; fade and water resistant) is $6 for a package of four.
