Mine are loosely grouped. One bed has light colors. The largest has reds and purples. Bought a slew of both colorways to see which would do best in our conditions. Keeping the ones I really like and rehoming the others. The other beds are mixed perennials and the interspersed daylilies are coordinated to the other plants' colors.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.
