Naw I have went by old sayings though. Like my Daddy always said that when White Oak leaves start growing in Spring and get as big as a squirrels ear frosts are over and you can safely plant corn and beans. That is an old Native American tradition. I home can things by the moon signs though. Like sauerkraut its best if made when the signs are in the head or shoulders. If ya make it when the signs are in the bowels it will spoil every time seems like.
