I thought of this thread today while I was on a walk. I wish I had my camera with me when I saw a birdhouse made from a world globe. It was hanging in a tree above a shaded garden. Very pretty with the blue and the continents distinctly visible. I'm sure some of you creative folks could figure how to do this if you were to find an old globe at a flea market.
