Some movies are so well done, I still notice new things in the background that I hadn't before, watching for the 89th or 103rd time.

I love old movies and am getting to the point where it's hard to find one I haven't already seen. I'll take that stuff over a bunch of special effects or so much editing that I don't even know what's going on, who's fighting who, who's winning the car chase.

When I grumble about inconsistency or discontinuity, my Old Guy says "Suspend, suspend!" But it's not so much disbelief that irritates me, it's sloppy workmanship. Any editor worth her salary should notice these things!

Yesterday was the OG's birthday, so we had an old favourites marathon with the VCR: 2010, Good Will Hunting and Bicentennial Man. I actually didn't mind.
Behind every opportunity is a disaster in waiting.
