I have a couple seedlings guested in other gardens near me. People who fertilize, water more than I do.

I don't think it is normal for people to send things north/south etc. any more. Years ago they did. Now, if a Hybridizer sends things around the country to test them they can miss 2-3 years waiting to hear back from the people. Trends may have changed, or someone could intro a similar flower in that time.

I think it depends on the plant on buds. Dip spiders - I consider 15 good in my garden where they don't get a lot of super soil or watering. Tets - I'd like to see an average of 25-30. I do have a dip double that blooms and blooms - but only has 6-10 buds, and I am still considering naming it. It blooms a long time because the scapes don't all come up at once.
