Tom,
I always got the healthiest fatest rhizomes from Schriener's until the last 2 seasons. The older ladies who worked in the office were really nice ,though pretty straightforward in dealing with you.I understand from them they had worked in the office for many years. The young girl they have now answering the phone is very friendly.
They have always replaced iris that did not live the first year,no questions asked.I never lost but a few of theirs.
And,yes, some over the years were mislabeled ,but they rectified their mistake if I sent them a picture of what was blooming.
They are more pricey, but I thought it was because they guaranteed their iris.
I Don't buy much from them anymore, but I do a little, and they have Ghio's new intro's.I have bought from them since 1989.
