Ursula, I love that your orchids are blooming with the snow in the background.
I woke up this morning to find a spike that bloomed on my Coelogyne flaccida that I hadn't even noticed. Actually, it was the heavy perfume scent in the air that lured me to it.
It's top heavy so it's sitting in a hanging pot with various ferns and tahitian bridal veil that somehow showed up in the hanging basket.
The picture of it is down on the bottom.
My Rth. Hsinying Sunbeam has 4 flowers now and what I love about it is that it reminds me of daffodils. When I was a kid my parents sometimes got me daffodils for my birthday in March, so it feels like a birthday present.
My Ludisia discolor 'nigricans' is blooming away with 3 spikes and believe it or not it's still in the tiny 3 inch pot I purchased it in, so this is proving to me that orchids love to be crowded. This one does anyway.
