I have a few orchids that change color quite a bit as they mature. I really enjoy taking pictures at each stage of change, sometimes every day. eg. my Brassavola 'Yellow Bird' starts out with rosy red petals, and an ivory lip dotted with dark red. You'd definitely wonder why it was named 'Yellow Bird' until you see it a week later, entirely golden yellow.

At least now we know why they named it Candy Corn, anyway. It does have the right colors. Eventually.
